Afgelopen maandag stond de eerste editie van het Schoolsoftbaltoernooi op de planning. In samenwerking met het Ubbo Emmius uit Winschoten werd het toernooi op poten gezet. Het toernooi had voor beide partijen verschillende en gezamenlijke doelen wat de samenwerking extra vruchtbaar en bijzonder maakte.<\/p>\n

De winnaars van het toernooi!<\/p><\/div>\n

Het plan voor het schoolsoftbaltoernooi ontstond aan het begin van dit seizoen toen de teambezetting van W.H.S.C. in zwaar weer kwam. E\u00e9n van de doelen waar W.H.S.C. al geruime tijd naar streeft is om jeugd kennis te laten maken met de sporten honk- en softbal en om hen zo in beweging te brengen. Deze combinatie was de uitgelezen kans om een softbaltoernooi te organiseren voor de middelbare scholen binnen de gemeente Oldambt. De samenwerking werd uiteindelijk voorgezet tussen Anne Sybesma (Ubbo Emmius Winschoten) en Martin Oolders (W.H.S.C.). De beste doelgroep leek hen de derde klassen van de school. In relatief korte tijd werd er invulling gegeven aan de dag. W.H.S.C. wil dan ook iedereen die hieraan heeft bijgedragen ontzettend bedanken!<\/p>\n

De leerlingen maakten deze ochtend en middag kennis met de sport softbal en waren vanaf 9.15u. reeds in de race voor de finale. Het was goed te zien dat de leerlingen waren klaargestoomd voor het toernooi in de lessen ‘Lichamelijke Opvoeding’ aangezien er eigenlijk alleen maar leuke en zeer spannende wedstrijden werden gespeeld. Een goede balans tussen fanatisme en onwijs veel plezier was toch wel de kern van de dag waarbij de leerlingen, en ook de organisatie, ontzettend veel hebben geleerd. Het toernooi is zeker voor herhaling vatbaar bevonden.<\/p>\n
